digital transformation in mental healthcare

Digitalize mental healthcare, focus on what truly matters

A significant shortage of practitioners in mental healthcare is looming. That cannot be solved with more people alone, but also by working smarter and embracing new technology. We gather insights directly from psychologists so the technology aligns with how work is done in practice.

Our approach

  • Insights come from practice

We gather insights directly from practitioners: we get to know the caseload before proposing solutions. Change cannot be forced; it emerges from practice itself.

  • Administration is not the main task

Administrative efficiency can improve significantly, for example by automating routine tasks. At the same time, we look at improving existing workflows.

  • Share what works

Not every innovation works right away. We collect what practitioners do in practice so that knowledge can be shared.

A free analysis of the IT and software in your practice

Is the software you use getting in your way more than it helps? We offer practices a free, no-obligation analysis of the IT and software they use today. We look at what helps, what slows you down, and where things can be improved.

Why Seralyne

Dutch mental healthcare is under structural pressure. Around 80,000 people are on a waiting list, and without fundamental change there is a projected shortage of 10,000 practitioners in 2035. Hybrid care works. What is missing is the step into everyday practice. That is what we are working on. Seralyne is in early product development: we are currently gathering insights from practitioners, teams, and institutions so that what we make truly fits how the work looks in practice.

What we believe in

Digital transformation is human work
Without practitioners who trust the technology, nothing happens. The first question is always: how does this fit into your team?
Digital solutions serve mental healthcare
There is much to gain in areas such as administrative efficiency, giving care providers more time for the client.
Privacy and security are prerequisites
We think about privacy and security at every step, so practitioners and clients do not have to worry about their data.

the shortage in numbers

The shortage reaches every profession in mental healthcare

In early 2023, the Capaciteitsorgaan mapped the workforce of six BIG-registered mental healthcare professions. For every profession, demand exceeds supply. The bars show unfilled demand: the share of desired capacity that is currently not staffed.
